x Turbo hairdryers > side vent; side vent will suck up your hair & turbo gives a bit more power. x Cool-shot option useful for those with damaged hair, looking to avoid heat damage, but warn them not to hold down the button long-term, as this will wear on the motor. Recommend seperate power and temperature-control dryer if they want to run it on cool long-term. Remind them to always clean the dust/lint trap on turbo, as buildup will kill the motor. x Ceramic plates are a more even conductor of heat, less likely to fry patches of your hair x Recommend curling irons with cool-touch tip to consumers, so they don't burn their hands x Teflon-coating will help plates glide more smoothly over hair; especially important if customer wants to be able to touch up their hair after having apllied product. x Floating plates on flat irons also glide over hair more smoothly. x Pre-set temp on tools will be sufficient for most consumers. Stylists may need temp-control up to 450 degrees for Keratin treatments, but consumers shouldn't need more than ~390 degrees. x For customers with Keratin/"Brazilian" treatments, **warn against clarifying or sulfate-containing shampoos**. Recommend products specifically designed for Keratin treatment upkeep, where possible. Any styling products should be safe to use, as normal.
