For this Work Wednesday I have a Hot Take: Godzilla should have the posture of a T-Rex and aquatic feathers like a penguin. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Work Wednesday Again? No problem.
This is one of the support NPCs from my D&D game. Her name is Turi Ahmemni and here’s how she looked before meeting the PCs and after a few weeks traveling with them. Life’s been rough for our littlest cleric. But on the plus side she’s got like... 500% more friends than usual.
For real though, I’ve yet to find an upper limit to the lengths my players will go to ensure her safety. It’s really touching.
Work, work, work, work work.
Work Wednesday: Welcome to your 1st day of work!
Congratulations! You got the job! You’d think that after the interview you would stop feeling nervous, but it is normal to be anxious on your first day of work.
Prove Yourself. Remember to bring the documents needed to prove your identity and eligibility to work (Social Security number, ID card, passport, etc.). Your HR department should send you an email in advance to you let you know what you need to bring on your first day. I have seen people come in without the proper paper work or unofficial copies of their documents. Unfortunately, they were sent home and could not attend the orientation.
What to Wear. Yes, once again you have to think about what would be the appropriate attire to wear to work. This really depends on you job position, so remember to ask if your employer forgets to tell you!
Prepared to Be Overwhelmed. Halfway through your day you may feel overwhelmed trying to remember everyone’s names, what they do, what you need to do, etc.. To avoid asking too many questions, first try to do things on your own. You may be surprised by what you can learn by yourself. However, don’t be afraid to ask if you are unsure! It is better to ask when you are just starting rather than 2 months later when you should already know.
Breathe. Do some power poses. Be excited!

Taking cues from the current fascination with all things magical and nature-inspired, the beloved luxury brand creates a new magical classic that mirrors the mystique and novelty of fantasy films and TV series, and altogether polishing if off with signature sophistication.
New addition to Komen Greater NYC!
#WorkWednesday! Please help us welcome Melanie Friedson to the Komen Greater NYC team!
“My name is Melanie Friedson, and I am honored to be working for Susan G. Komen, supporting the cause to put an end to breast cancer. I worked previously at the William Morris Agency (now William Morris Endeavor Entertainment), Hungry Man Productions, and Weight Watchers International. Over the years, my career path has continuously shifted into wanting to work for an organization where the employees, volunteers, and supporters are passionate about making a notable impact in the world. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a driven, committed organization and mission, and I’m excited to see what the future will hold.”
