As part of my job I have a corporate credit card, and I gotta say it’s weird as hell having that kinda ‘money’ in my pocket. I know it’s not my money, there are limits to it, if I misuse it I’ll likely lose my job, but I still think “What if I..”.

Okay so someone on IT has decided that the best time to work on the servers is 3pm on Friday And we literally can't use the computers when the server is down. What are we supposed to do for those two hours? Twiddle our thumbs? Fuck around?? Am I going to be sent home and lose MORE hours AGAIN

I either did something good, or something my team will be annoyed by. See, we have to save copies of policies in a shared server and label them with the policy number. The policy number is imported from another program, so you can't edit it from the file storing program. While the phones were down, I went through every client's policies to check the policy doc by the label and found a lot that were one digit off (usually you can tell that the person was just looking at the wrong line), except for the one that was really really off. The account manager seemed frustrated with me, like "No this can't be right" but she's having another team member check the policies just in case. So, I either did good, or made someone have more work than they had before.

Basically I was ranting about my job

it's over an hour to two hours commute, and I work from 9 - 5:30, though most of the time I stay later than 6:30. 

And plus I work at home until around 2AM

Also I'm now an office manager

I am in charge of two people and more than half of the information flow in the office, and yet one guy still tries to get me to do secretarial things for him. 

AND 

My name is "the girl." 

We have group meetings and all of the males have names but I'm "the girl" 

GAH

Though I have called them out for calling me sweetheart and sunshine
