Day 7: Alternate Universe
Learning the true name of his Bankai wasn’t the only thing to happen in the Royal Realm. A very powerful ability, hidden deep within Renji, had awoken upon learning his Bankai’s true name. Let’s just say that Renji doesn’t call himself a stray dog for nothing.

Renji always watched over his friends while they slept, like a stray dog. From Inuzuri to the Gotei 13, Renji always stood guard at night because, like a stray dog, he could never truly feel safe.

Summary: Today is the anniversary of the deaths of Renji’s Inuzuri friends. This year, his captain accompanies him to their gravesites and learns a little bit about Renji’s childhood in Inuzuri.
