Themes that dwell upon my mind. #atlantis #aztlan #sketch #personalproject #workforeverinprogress
Hey there :) I'm starting a Batman blog and I was wondering if you had any tips or advice? I know it's pretty simple but I just want to make a badass Batman blog. I'm 21 male and have been a huge batman fan since I was a little kid.
Hello! :)
I think the most important thing about blogging is to just to be yourself. If you want to geek out over Batman, then don’t be afraid to! There will always be people who choose to mock fans for their enthusiasm (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten the “YOU KNOW BATMAN ISN’T REAL, RIGHT?” spiel) but for every negative person there are dozens more who love Batman just as much as you do. Talk about your favorite stories, discuss your thoughts on characters, post some comic art--these are all great ways to show your love for Batman in ways that your audience will both appreciate and enjoy.
Interacting with my followers and creating content for them is easily my favorite part of being on Tumblr. I love being able to share my love for Batman’s world with people who feel just as passionately as I do, and I can honestly say that the Batman community on here has enriched my life in many ways. Inspire discussion among your followers by inviting them to ask questions or asking questions of them--again, people enjoy being able to have a place where they can talk about Batman with other fans who understand and share their enthusiasm. If you have access to Photoshop, then learn how to make gifs and edits so that you can provide your own unique content (never repost other bloggers’ work tho, always reblog instead!); if you’re not able to do that, then utilize websites like The Comic Art Community to find art to post on your blog (be sure to include credit!).
Last (but not least), have fun! Use your blog to express your love for Batman in your own way, and don’t worry about coming across as nerdy or awkward or “corny” (as I myself have been described before, LOL) because at the end of the day we are all just big geeks who enjoy comic books and there’s no reason to pretend otherwise. ;)
Hope that helps! Good luck on your blog, I’m sure it will be great. <3
