This is another reason why the T1 is a smart consideration as a pistol optic. Today my G17 was exposed to lots of kydex dust (as it usually is). On an RMR this dust would have filled the inside of the optic which could potentially block the exposed LED emitter. This would mean no reddot would be projected on the glass. A T1 however has an enclosed emitter so mud, dust, blood, and other debris can't render the reddot useless by blockage.
