update 3/9/14
was too tired to do this yesterday lol. yesterday i had to go to Mt. Carmel Invitational track meet. I was having doubts in my skills as an athlete because I didn't do so well at tryouts a week previous, but i managed to get first in triple jump! (i was competing at a jv level haha). I beat my previous record of 38 ft 7 in with 38 ft and 8 in haha. not a bad start of the season i guess :) One of my cherished friends once told me to work hard and keep humble and that has stuck onto me ever since. The meet gave me back the confidence i lost before and now im hungry for more accomplishments. Anywho, for those who don't know, I am a Christian. For some reason a lot of people are surprised about that. I'm guessing my laid-back attitude tends to give off a vibe of being non-religious--idk. But yesterday one of my favorite bands, AMP, came to my friend's church and had a concert. Obviously I went and checked them out and it was great watching them. Fun fact: that was my first concert i've ever been to. I had constant goosebumps because of their lyrics and amazing performance. I've been listening to them since middle school and it was so surreal not seeing them on a screen but rather in person. After their performance, I got to have a meet and greet with them. Theyre so cool. gahhh. They are so humble and down to earth. I got to hug them all twice!! i told them how big of a fan i was and how they were an inspiration to me. I could see the look in their eyes that it really hit home for them. they even remember my name!! I got a shirt and poster signed by them ahh. I even got tacos at tacos el gordo with them too. yesterday was just amazing. by going to the concert, it helped renew my faith that has been faltering lately and i really believe the man up stairs had all of this planned out for me. :') ah time to go do ap world hw...bah.
