Everyone, go and get "The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper" by Hallie Rubenhold. An amazing work of ordinary, working-class history, intersecting with drama and infamy. I absolutely love the emphasis on restoring the context and humanity to this story, ignoring the speculation about the killer, and focusing on the complete stories of the victims. Genuinely an important work!
