Roger Weiss
Roger Weiss is a fiction photographer who captures fragments about human tragedy, documenting failures and yearnings, weaknesses and strengths, pains and joys, rights violated and rights upheld. His curiosity for the expressions of humankind open him the path to an artistic approach.
What I really like about the work of Roger Weiss, especially the serie ’Human Dilatations’ is that he has a strong message in his work. He has an experience/ a frustration about the subject and tries to use that frustration to make something what is representing his feelings. By enlarging the imperfection in such a way that the measurements of the body looks so weird, he is able to make a statement in a really subtle and funny way.
