Can today be over yet?
I have a coworker whom I eat lunch with on the days we open together, Wednesday and Friday/Saturday depending on our weekend rotation that week. We barely speak other than a friendly "Good morning" and occasional asking of questions for day to day variations.
I rather enjoy having lunch with her.
For the record, she may not even like me but is professional and mature enough not to give any sign of this being fact.
When we sit across from eachother at our small round lunch/emergency crafting table, we both put our headphones in and listen to music or whatever else while we eat, then once finished, pull out a book and read until our lunch is over.
We never have a conversation nor fein interest in each other for the sake of a positive work atmosphere. We both just do our own things. There is a rare serenity in our silent agreement of being non-bothersome company to eachother and I think it's really beautiful.

Just an FYI...
But I still don’t want to go to work tomorrow!
I saw this on Facebook earlier and decided to share. This quote cannot be any truer; this goes along with work.
I’ve been contemplating recently about getting a new job. Mind you, I love where I work and love the participants; that’s not where any issues are. I’m talking about the co-workers who were hired to do a specific job and yet day-after-day they fall short. I’m not talking about someone who is maybe having an “off day”. I am talking about employees who (1) know the job duties but don’t perform them and who (2) still get paid, the same an hour I do, for doing far less work.
I could just walk around all day and pretend I’m busy, but as soon as I did I would be in trouble. I’m still trying to figure out how, even with all the talks with bosses, that this is still allowed. Frustrating.
It creates a hostile work environment and then we all get a lecture about putting it all aside and working together. How can we all work together when there are ones who don’t work to begin with?
Just some thoughts for today. Who can relate and how can this be fixed?
