Time for another OniGuyCosplay Supplement Review! It's been awhile since I did one and I figured after snacking on these delicious morsels at Megacon I'd review them. So first off most people are hesitant to eat protein bars (I was one of them) because majority of protein bars taste like sawdust sprinkled with some fake peanut butter or chocolate flavoring rather than what they are advertised as. Not these two. First off is Optimum Nutrition's Protein Cake Bites. My god these things taste great! Birthday cake flavored and the package doesn't lie they do taste like little birthday cakes, with just the right amount of sweetness to curb a rampant sweet tooth and 20 grams of protein to keep you satiated. 3 of the 5 grams of sugar are sugar alcohols so no worries about overindulging in sugar. As you can see from the second pic they are about the size of a half dollar coin (do people even still use those?) so the three pieces you get won't overly fill you. Be warned though they do get a little dry by the time you finish all three so make sure you have water ready. I don't know how the other two flavors taste because chocolate cherry doesn't seem good to me and I'm not a fan of red velvet cake to be honest. Next up is the Grenade Carb Killa High Protein Bar, chocolate cream flavored. Now THIS is the protein bar of kings! My god this tastes amazing and it's rare when a protein bar actually tastes as advertised. With 23 grams of protein, 1 gram of actual sugar (11g of sugar alcohol), it's a protein bar you can munch on anytime. Both me and @majorgunnbunny use these for lunch, pre and post workout and when we wanna have a cheat meal but still wanna be healthy. All in all these were both delicious and easy replacements for any high sugar snacks we'd normally gorge ourselves on. The last two pics say it all how good these taste.
