World edit is scary. What if i accidentally somehow delete everything

(Short lore / story ahead, skip to the end if you want my thoughts and info)

The building had always been there, a creation from the ancient builders, created with magic and skill. When they disappeared, no villager had any knowledge on what it was or how to maintain it, only that the two orbs of wealth were to never be touched or stolen.

Over time, the building slowly fell into ruin, the bricks becoming cracked and overrun with vines, the chains almost invisible from the bushes coating them. At one point, a pillar split in two, causing the village to fall into a panic, but a tiny amount magic, left over from the ancient builders, kept it upright. The obsidian cracked and shattered, and it is rumoured that when it cracks, its wails can be heard echoing throughout the fields.

Many theory's where made on the building, and the purpose it served. Great librarians and clerics, the wise men of the village, came to the conclusion it was built to act as a wormhole, a way of passing through to a different realm, but the magic of it slowly faded with no one to upkeep it. They were almost right, the building was a form of portal, but it was not created to allow easy movement between realms.

It was created as a prison.

It was a doorway to a prison of the highest security, an entire dimension, created by the ancient builders to hold an enemy of unimaginable power, one so destructive it scared even them.

What the villagers didn't know was that the building was a door. A door that was locked tightly, but those locks where slowly rusting, with this great enemy waiting patiently in the hellish landscape within.

The world had forgotten it, but it remembered. It knew what it was called, what its purpose was. It was a creature of pure evil, of destruction and plague.

It was The Wither.

(Decided to try and right some story / lore for this build out of boredom, first time trying! It was created for @otherside-wanderer buildtober, with the prompt Ruin which made me think of ruined portals. I'm half happy with how it turned out, especially the pillars, but sadly the max portal size in Minecraft is 23x23, so the pentagram on it looks a little goofy. I might work on it some more and post the update later!)

Uh.. So, I don’t know if anyone is going to care about this or not but I just had the worst experience with the support team for World Edit..

I use World Edit on my modded server so I don’t have the plug in version and I’ve been trying to get my biome to change because I found the perfect spot to set everything up but it happens to be a savanna biome and I’d prefer something with greener/darker grass. So, I tried the command to change the biome. It didn’t work for me even though the chat log said it worked and to reload. I did and it hadn’t changed.

I joined their discord to get help on it to see if anyone could explain what was going on. Maybe it doesn’t work on multiplayer? Maybe it has something to do with it not being the plug in? Who knows? Not me but the devs should, right? Wrong.

They legitimately told me they didn’t know and that they didn’t care because they couldn’t reproduce the same issue so it wasn’t their problem to solve. I was honestly very shocked with their reply to me and I simply said that their remark was a bit rude but okay and then they proceeded to remove me from the discord..

So, not only did I not receive help for my issue the support team blatantly told me they did not care about my issue, nor to help with said issue, and after being rude and me addressing it they chose to kick me from the support discord so I am now unable to receive even a sliver of help from them...

I’m not sure if perhaps I was coming off rude or not but.. the “support” I received was honestly appalling especially from a group of devs asking for donations/support from people using their mods/plug ins. I also find it odd that they said 1.12 isn’t supported anymore yet they just posted a link for Sponge 1.12 plug in?

I’m not sure if they only meant Forge 1.12 isn’t supported or what.. they didn’t really specify but if that were the case I would have preferred they started with that rather than being rude and then removing me when I called them out for their half baked “support”.

I’m not here to like.. cause drama or anything. I just wanted to like vent I guess? Because I honestly don’t understand why they had to respond so rudely and then remove me because I called them out for their response towards me. I was just another person asking for help and they couldn’t be bothered to just start off saying “We don’t support that version anymore.”

I dunno.. Maybe I’m just salty but I can’t wrap my head around a support team staff treating something that way and getting away with it. If this were someone’s job they would be fired for treating a customer like that so why is it okay because it’s not? Plus I was just asking for help? That’s all? There was no reason for them to be so rude.. I dunno ugh. Just ugh.

tl;dr world edit staff was rude and kicked me for calling them out for being rude and now i still have no answers for why the commands aren’t working if anyone knows a solution pls hmu because i desperately would love to change my biome!

edit: I have looked everywhere to see where they say 1.12 isn’t supported anymore and I can’t find it on the curse forge page or their discord and the 1.12 version was just updated in January so if they’re no longer supporting it then I’m not sure why they’ve updated it or even still have it as an accessible download because obviously people are going to request support for it?
