The invitational will be held from July 17 to August 6. All matches will be held offline. 16 teams will be drawn and divided into groups. The group stage will adopt a single round-robin system. The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage.
The schedule is arranged in three stages. The group stage and the knockout stage are divided into the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Each game will be a 5V5 ring match and a 6V6 team match.

The schedule for the 2025 First Glory World Invitational Tournament has been announced.
July 17: Opening ceremony of the World Invitational Tournament, first round of group stage
July 21: second round of group stage
July 25: third round of group stage
July 29: quarterfinals
August 2: semifinals
August 6: finals, award ceremony and closing ceremony
Regardless, the finals just ended on July 8 and Ye Xiu's official retirement announcement on July 12 (by then he's already back home). And the World Invitationals' announcement is the day after, which left the National team so little time to prepare (and Happy and Samsara team players little to rest, especially Ye Xiu himself).
What I understand: all one tournament, because there are so many players they will all play on two courses, two different score boards for ladies and men with equal prize pot at the end. So while it’s definitely progress it’s still a “separate but equal” vibe :/ I KNOW it’s for their benefit of it being separate as I’m sure there will be more women making more money this way, it’s not a perfect system.
ah yes, one step at a time tho.. surely, there must've been women golfers involved in decision-making process for the format? Maybe they prefer it this way for now.. let the world at least know that their game is equally (if not more) good and entertaining, worthy of greater public interest.. maybe after that spectators themselves would suggest having men and women compete in the same game next time.. 🤞🏼
Women and Men usually have huge gaps in tournament purse sizes. So that’s the big thing I understood.
yes that's true.. women's golf doesn't have the kind of sponsorship that men's golf does.. there's less hype, less public interest, etc. which makes it increasingly difficult for aspiring ladies to rely on the sport as their mainstream career.. this tournament is most likely the first of its kind that offers equal opportunity.. a milestone to be proud of. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
