Pride Build 2021 - Rainbow Waterfall (Gay Soup)
thus starts the series of photos for builds around the hardcore world. all of them will be found in a list on my blog in a masterpost in my pinned post or under the first tag on this post.
The Garden, Pt. 4
The next two biomes are right next to each other, but they definitely feel weird to have right next to each other. One of the snowy plains/ice spikes/general snow biome and the other is my combination of the two nether forest types.
The snowy biome is a mashup of just my favorite parts of all the snowy biomes. And the nether biome was way fun to create. I combined the forest types and the different structures from the nether into one area. It is one of the densest biomes I made for this project.
The Garden, Pt. 3
The next two biomes are the mesa and the taiga.
The pattern of the mesa is actually based on the mesa pattern in the hardcore world (it was pre 1.18, so unfortunately I had to make some up at some point, but it wasn't that far off).
The taiga biome was a great time of playing with different kinds of dirt to try and make the campsite area look well worn and still overrun.
The Nether Hub
Now while I haven't spent a ton of time making my nether portal areas (on either side) I do love both of them. They mirror each other in that the overworld has the Nether spreading from the portal, and the one in the Nether has the overworld spreading from the portal. There's also a wild llama that just wanders between both because this is where he lives.
The Garden, Pt. 8
And here we have the final part. Here is the center of the end build where I've featured another part of the world that I was otherwise unable to include elsewhere in the build. The ocean.
While you might not be able to see their numbers in any screenshots here, my favorite fact is that the center pool features exactly 69 cod that are all named their numbers with the last being labeled in all caps "SIXTY NINE".
Is it silly? Yes. But I love it.
And that's it, that's the end build, The Garden.
The Garden, Pt. 7
Here are the rest of the pillars, you can better see how the mesa pillars are sharing their biome here, but it's almost the same setup for the mushroom biomes on the other side.
The Garden, Pt. 6
There's not a ton to say about these, but these pillars around the center of the build are some of my favorite things I've build. Here's half of them. Each pillar is tailored to one of the 8 biomes (with two sets of two pillars sharing one biome, in this case the mushroom biome has two pillars).
The Garden, Pt.5
These two are the last of the biomes around the circle.
The mushroom biome was one of the easier ones to create. But I think I like the way the brick path worked into the build and I absolutely adore my giant mushroom at the edge of the biome.
The dark oak forest is another one of my favorite builds. The biome looks completely overgrown from the top because of all the trees, but there's still some nice details along the path.
