Iron Flame
Everyone knows that moment when something secret slips out in conversation
Have you ever read something that made your world stop?
Your stomach drops, Your legs go weak, Your vision goes dark, Your heart stops, Your mind goes blank, Your hands stop moving, Your world disappears, Just for a moment.
Don't you just love the Eurovision feeling when the world around you just stops cause you have to watch a national selection!
I wish the world stopped when I sleep
Sometimes I just feel like it's impossible for me to do something well or always behave well or just overally act in a good way. I can't do it. A lot of the time I just want to put my head down and close my eyes. No time will pass, so no new due dates will arrive, and no valuable opportunities will be missed. I wish the world stopped when I sleep.
It kinda sucks falling for someone because sometimes I feel like I need their presence / just knowing that they're connected/in sync/there... (whatever you wanna call it) with me to function.
Aside from that, when they do end up talking to you it's like the whole world stops and that moment is all that matters.
“when I see you the world stops. it stops and all that exists for me is you and my eyes staring at you. there’s nothing else. no noise, no other people, no thoughts or worries, no yesterday, no tomorrow. the world just stops and it is a beautiful place and there is only you. just you, and my eyes staring at you. when you’re gone, the world starts again, and i don’t like it as much. i can live in it, but i don’t like it. i just walk around in it and wait to see you again and wait for it to stop again. i love it when it stops. it’s the best fucking thing i’ve ever known or ever felt, the best thing, and that[, ...baby,] is why i stare at you.”
