Dear babushka ❤️ Do you think you could teach us, your children, cyrillic alphabet? I would love to learn it (and I am sure many of your followers would love to learn it as well) If it is to much trouble don't worry about it :) I don't want you to feel pressured to do anything :) have a wonderful day 💕
It is my duty, as your babushka, to teach you. Also, it brings me great joy! ❤️
We’ll start at the very beginning:
The Glagolitic script “Ⰳⰾⰰⰳⱁⰾⰹⱌⰰ”
The Glagolitic script is the oldest known Slavic alphabet.
It was created in the 9th century by Saint Cyril.
Modern Cyrillic is derived from the Glagolitic script.
ⰳⰰⰾⰰ (Гала/Gala) - my name in Glagolitic.
The Cyrillic Script
The Cyrillic script, like the Latin script, varies from country to country.
All Orthodox Slavic countries use it as a shared basis of their alphabets.
