I drew instead of writing an AU ehe. What if Phainon becomes Strife, and Mydei the Worldbearing demigod instead?
So I wanted to take this from the direction of 'what if these two actually took the coreflames instead of their current ones?', as opposed to the idea they were designed to be them to begin with. As in, keeping them in character as much as possible and how those personalities would apply to those new divinities.
Meaning Phainon, instead of dealing with his hatred actually gives into it after receiving the coreflame, hence the blood (he goes on a massacre spree), and the partly flame reaver ripped fabric touch. The rest is still him, so I put on his original coat (I tried to do the cracked torso but he looked BDSM converted), but Khaslana's hair because that is welp, godly and full of golden hatred (and he's supposed to look grand! Like a god!) His coat chest area also has a lot of sun motifs so I'm pasting that big gaudy strife coreflame symbol on top And of course he's crying tears of destruction because we need angst! Dawnmaker never got to go around killing chrysos heirs so it's still uh, kind of new.
Mydei has a sitting yoga pose that I'm reading generally means stability, devotion, or being at peace with oneself that seems to fit the man pretty well considering he's overcome so much pain but still holds a protective and almost motherly nature (that I keep reading in fanfics?? I'm looking at you making-mydei-into-a-waifu-ers). Then there's the pomegranate his favorite fruit meaning stuff like eternal life or abundance, which I'm sure factors into him being an immortal in the first place but let's call it giving life to the new world because he bears it now. Yes it's not entirely greek mythology but hey I can take liberties! Lastly he is still wearing his gauntlet as a symbol he accepts the world for what it is! War and blood happens! (ok more because it's his past). His concept is all about letting go of his own worldly past things, including the blood crystals shattering from his gauntlet hand.
