Came back from Japan three days ago and before leaving I got some 桜茶 (sakura tea) at the local supermarket because I was so curious. Sakura tea is not a common type of tea, it's often drink in special occasions like weddings or formal marriage meeting, or business negotiations. Since yesterday was the first day of the year, I decided it was special enough for me and tried some of this tea, which surprised me a lot with the salty flavour. It's delicate and unexpected, definitely not the kind of tea we're used to drink in Europe.
