Here is my #worldevanescenceday appreciation post. I was fortunate to become a fan when I was in high school and back then you could easily collect printed singles. I think I’ve seen them well over a dozen times and it was an honour to open for them last year in Toronto on their #synthesistour ! After 12 inpatient years I finally got The Open Door vines tattooed on me to commemorate the album that pushed me to be the singer and pianist I am today (I could literally play that album front to back in my sleep). I’m about 20 in my picture with Amy and 24 in my picture with Ben. I’m sorry @rocky_gray that we don’t have a proper photo together yet, but I’m hoping this is the year! Today is #WorldEvanescenceDay and it marks 15 years since #Fallen was released to the world. This album is the one that made me fall in love with the band back in 2005. What an incredible journey it's been! All those who went to school with me and afterwards will know how obsessed I became with them lol. I met them for the first time back in 2011 and saw them for the first time as well. I can't wait until April 3rd when I'll meet them again and see them perform with a full orchestra. I know they don't release music as often as most artists do, but whenever they do, they put their whole heart and soul in to it. I may not relate to Fallen as much as I did, but this album will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to every single band member, past and present, who helped make this band incredible 🤘 #evanescence
