Assassin:

First impression: Ooo, you look cool- OUCH you little-

Impression now: Hehe, sneaky silly birb critter.

Favorite moment: tbh probably the moment I realized that his spine indicates what attacks I should use. That was fun. Also, brute forcing the fight without ice. The other contender is this attack:

he look so derpy love himb.

Idea for a story: a fluff drabble with an assassin and holy bat. (note that because I'm operating on assassin and holy bat as species, this is just "an assassin" and "a holy bat."

Unpopular opinion: Hmmmm... for a while, "would be cute with holy bat" was technically unpopular (not vehemently tho)

Favorite relationship: with Holy Bat :3 Generally romantic, but platonic is also a v good vibe for them, and it probably started there.

Favorite headcanon: Outside of combat, assassins are pretty playful and kinda goofy. They're also a very snuggly crew.

Holy Bat:

First impression: Oh you're pretty, oh you've killed me help/I will beat you without Aven now QUIT IT-

Impression now: Elegant, majestic, feisty, STOP EATING MY LIGHTNING

Favorite moment: Absorbing her after a few too many failed attempts to get past her just as Edda. Without ice.

Idea for a story: Same as with Assassin - cute floof drabble.

Unpopular opinion: Similar thing. Would be cute with Assassin. Again, not really unpopular, more unpopular for the bit.

Favorite relationship: with Assassin, again romantically, but platonically is also extremely cute. Definitely started there. Their whole arc is every bit enemies to lovers. (Which... really most of the Worldless ships kinda are, but in this case the enemies bit persists past the Conflict a little)

Favorite headcanon: Because I didn't realize the bat end of this, I like to HC them as Amphitheres. Majestic pretty dragons.

This... probably hasn't explained the pipeline, though. So here's that:

On the Worldless discord, when I joined there was a channel called "Holy Bat Cult" - the whole thing was very much a bit, and I don't know how it started. But then someone introduced an Assassin countercult, and they were "at war."

I think a couple people tossed in a joke or two about "they should kiss" or "let them be friends."

I decided to draw them being cute. Everyone converted pretty quickly to "YES they are CUTE." So now they are at peace. And now LoveBirds is a thing.

And yes, I know that Holy Bat doesn't canonically have a humanoid design, but see, Assassin does and he turns into a bird, so why not let Holy Bat turn into a humanoid?

Holy Bat and Assassin

Some Context:

On the Worldless discord, there is a channel jokingly called Holy Bat Cult. I do not know how it started, but it's hilarious.

Then arose the Assassin Rebellion.

At some point, for some reason, I decided it would be a brilliant idea to draw a ship piece for Holy Bat and Assassin, because someone jokingly mentioned a truce and... I really don't know. Just for kicks and giggles, and partly to poke fun.

What I did not expect was for people to actually find it cute.

So now what started as a crack ship is a semi-serious ship, and I've gotten kinda attached to it, both the platonic version and romantic.

So Now We Need A Ship Name.
