That was a bitch to finish! One thousand pieces, the majority of which looked nearly identical. Took me more than a few days and was so daunting I didn’t go near it for a couple. 😂 but in the end I got it done. Final standings for the team
We finished in 11th. Despite coming third in the final round, there was too large of a gap between us and Turkey for 10th (about 2000 points). We did leapfrog Austria, France and China though during the final round, so it takes a bit of the sting from missing out of the top 10.
Edit: the top Canadian finishers were 32nd and 35th officially in the individual portion.
Round 16 results!
We came third!!! 1400 bonus points! Japan got disqualified for a mistake and the Germans solved fastest with the US finishing second! The overall team results are being tabulated, but we should rocket up from our 14th place entering the round!!
Round 16!
The teams 5-8 will go first as the board is a human size board where each team member is a piece on the board (think wizards chess from Harry potter). We have to wait in a separate room with the powerhouses who are no strangers to team finals. This is a round with no room for error since a mistake gives us 0 bonus points... So... We wait...
