The state of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh were the prime states taken for the geography block in Grade 5, along with the gist of other states that was provided to the students. In the state of Maharashtra, the Western and Eastern ghats were focused on along with the other ranges of mountains that are part of Maharashtra. In Madhya Pradesh, a lot of emphasis was laid on the tribal regions, folk song, dance form and wildlife sanctuaries
