Sif gives the long, thin box to one of the glowing creatures that surround Crow's castle. Judging from how distasteful she finds the scent of these charming creatures, the wolf thinks it's better for now if she and Crow don't meet face to face. Even still, the other has become strangely important to Sif and it would feel odd to not include Crow in this tradition. The gift is an ornate pure silver knife with a note reading, 'TO KEEP AWAY THE GROTESQUE CREATURES THAT DARE CALL THEMSELVES WOLVES.'
The thing about the phantasms is they rarely did what you might expect, and what you might expect eldritch ghost-familiars to do in the first place is entirely your business. No, Crow rarely had any expectations of them. Often all they seemed to want was to be in her presence, and she was more than content to oblige them.
One thing for sure they didn’t do, apparently, was forward mail in an efficient manner. By the time she found this gift in the garden it... Wasn’t exactly on time, or at least she assumed as such. She gave a sideways glance at the phantasm that had led her over her, and it responded with a happy little chime as it swam in a circle backwards though the air.
It... Smelled like her. That much was obvious before she was even close. Kneeling down she opened it where it was and spent some long, silent moment regarding the knife inside.
Silver, always good to have around. Well crafted, sharp, properly balanced too she discovered after turning it over in a hand. Her other went to the note, eyes scanning it slowly.
She looked up at nothing in particular. Sif was trying harder than she was. Why? She’d never shown the great wolf anything but immense tension, but she continued to make an effort. Both Gwyndolin and Priscilla seemed to care a great deal for Sif, and the wolf them in return. Crow cared for them too...
She was no mindless beast, Crow knew that. Her appearance was no fault of her own, and her mannerisms... Well, she’d been more polite than the hunter.
Maybe she should do something about that.
