ok i've been inspired by @slavamarkovia and worm (2011) to make a list of all of the potential applications i can think of for tara's power that aren't throwing rocks at people

grabbing people's ankles or just sinking them into the ground. literally opening it up underneath someone so they fall would be awesome

similarly, if she just buried herself in the ground she could make it very difficult for anyone to attack her but could still hurt them

rock armor

can she manipulate dust particles or something like that? just direct it straight into someone's lungs

finding a rock with some bugs on it and throwing it at someone. this is a worm reference

similarly to what elise mentioned she could absolutely sense vibrations and know exactly where people are, probably even in buildings since most of them are made out of rock-based materials like concrete and iron

she threatens to turn someone into biotite once and mentions that if she took all the minerals out of somebody's body they'd die. i don't think she can actually do that but if she could that would be cool
