Fun fact: Worms breathe through their skin!

They are covered in a layer of mucus that helps them absorb oxygen, this means that they must be kept moist. Though breathing through their skin does mean that they drown fairly easily if in too much water. This is why they stay underground during rainfall and surface afterwards!
