“ Chandler! ”
he's busted with a cigarette in hand, on their her balcony of all places, and Monica's tone goes high-pitched as she calls him out, in that way it does when she's really excited or about to tell someone off ( guess which one is it now? )
however, if he were to turn around right now, there would be no anger on her face, just disappointment and hurt so profound it makes her eyes glisten.
all those talks they'd had, all the brochures leafed through, all the promises he'd made... and all of that amounts to nothing, in the end.
his promises to her mean nothing.
( and if that's true, then what kind of future their relationship could possible have? were his words about love enduring etc a lie, too? beautiful words he had no intention of keeping? )
lips part, as if she is about to say something, to ask why would he do this, why would he throw all his progress under the bus like that, perhaps, why would he break her heart like that?
only her thoughts are spiraling and her lower lip is trembling and Monica ends up throwing her hands up – “ I can't even look at you right now, ” [ a low voice; so much worse than the shrill one ] – and turning on her heel, retreating from the window and into the kitchen before she starts crying in front of him.
@wormfccd ( Chandler Bing ) gets a starter from his very upset girlfriend because I just felt like they might have had a fight conversation about this much sooner than during their marriage
