Lazy Day

It isn’t all that often they get days to themselves, when everything outside their little flat is actually quiet. Like everyone in Ergastulum had collectively decided to take the day off and not fuck shit up.

Which Worick is grateful for.

Some day's he really started to feel his age, or he’ll get a little phantom twinge in his eye that’s not there, and it’s quiet days that tend to make things a little better. Case in point, Nicolas is still passed out asleep beside him, sprawled out on his back, one arm through over his face to block the sun filtering in through the sub par curtains.

Worick is tempted to lay there, go back to sleep, but the urge to eat and the idea of coffee is what ultimately propelled him out of bed. He snagged the pair of sweats from the floor on his way to the bathroom, he’s not sure if they’re his or Nicolas’s but it doesn’t really matter. Wouldn’t be the first time and it wouldn’t be the last.

He pads out to the kitchen once he’s finished in the bathroom and washes out the coffee pot from the day before and gets a fresh pot going. The fridge is still moderately stocked from some money Worick got from a freelance job over the weekend.

He’s halfway through his cup of coffee when Nicolas walks into the kitchen, and all but plasters himself to Worick’s back.

“Morning to you too,” Worick chuckled.

Nicolas stood there for a few minutes, probably watching as Worick went about making their breakfast before he finally let go to get his own cup of coffee. He kept one hand on Worick’s lower back as he sipped his coffee and watched him work.

Worick turned his head to look at Nicolas.

“Why don’t you make your lazy ass useful and get some plates,” he told him.

Nicolas huffed but took down a few plates. Worick plated the omelette and they sat across from each other at the tiny kitchen table.

“Good?” Worick nudged Nicolas’s foot under the table.

Nicolas nodded and let his foot rub against Worick’s ankle. Worick took care of the dishes after they finished eating and chose to settle on the couch with a book. Some trashy romance novel he’d picked up on half on a whim, half for possible ideas.

Old dogs can still learn new tricks.

Not that he got very far when Nicolas decided to sit on the floor with his back against the couch using the lull in activity to polish his katana. It’s a little distracting. Nicolas hadn’t bothered putting on a shirt, so Worick got distracted by the way the muscles in his back would move as he ran his hand along the length of the sword.

The sound of the sharpening stone against the blade. Worick thought he did it on purpose. Of all the places he could polish the katana, hell, he could’ve gone to the roof, he does it in front of Worick. It felt a little like foreplay.

Which, to be fair, for them, it probably was some weird kind of foreplay. Book forgotten Worick moves his hand to the back of Nicolas’s neck and squeezed gently. Nicolas’s hands stilled for a moment before they went back to what they were doing.

He huffed out a laugh. Oh, so it’s going to be like that, he thought.

Worick dropped the book on the other side of the couch and heard it land on the floor with a soft thump and shifted on the couch. It was an awkward angle but it got the desired effect when Worick pressed his lips to the column of Nicolas’s throat, a little drag of teeth and -

“I should do laundry,” he said it against Nicolas’s throat, it’s hit or miss on whether he can actually make out the words.

He doesn’t wait for a response but he can feel Nicolas’s eyes boring into his back as he leaves the couch and heads back for the bedroom.

“Tease.”

Worick turned around with a fake innocent smile. “Who? Me?”

Nicolas stalked toward him and it’s a little cute because he’s still got a bit of bedhead, but Worick is keeping that thought to himself, because Nicolas could break him like a twig.

He wouldn’t.

But he could.

Nicolas’s kisses, even after all these years, are still a bit rough and clumsy. Not that Worick would ever complain. Because they’re both rough and clumsy to a point. His fingers dig into Worick’s hips and it’s one, two, three short steps back until he’s on his back, hands above his head as Nicolas leans over him.

Nicolas leaned in close and Worick tried to raise his head to meet him in a kiss but Nicolas pulled back, a small smirk playing on his face.

“Now who’s the tease,” Worick huffed.

Nicolas let go of his hands and instead grabbed his hips, bodily moving Worick up the bed. He leaned down and kissed Worick this time. Worick brought his legs up, thighs pressed against Nicolas’s hips.

They kissed like that for a while. Like quiet days, days where they could take their time was a rarity. He reached down to squeeze Nicolas’s ass, half to spur him on, half just because, and groaned as they rubbed against each other.

“Off,” Nicolas pulled back enough to look down at Worick.

“Bossy,” Worick sat up and pulled off the sweats and the shirt he slept in while Nicolas took off his own pajama bottoms. The fact he was commando was not lost on Worick and he ran his gaze over Nicolas’s form as he settled more on the bed.

Nicolas smirked down at him as he signed. ‘You like it.’

“Got me there,” Worick propped himself up on his elbows.

He watched as Nicolas got the lube they kept in the nightstand and nudged him when he reached for the box of condoms.

“Not today,” he said when Nicolas looked at him.

Nicolas’s eyes got darker and he tossed the lube on the bed and Worick sat up to meet him in a kiss. Nicolas’s hands found their way into his hair and he gave a small tug. Worick groaned and bit Nicolas’s lip in a sort of retaliation.

He soon found himself on his back again, he’s a little dazed from the kissing but cognitive enough to spread his legs as Nicolas settles between them with the lube in hand. It’s a bit cold when Nicolas pressed his finger against the tight ring of muscle, but then Nicolas is working two fingers inside him and Worick can only grind down on them.

“Enough,” Worick panted.

Nicolas withdrew his fingers and poured more lube into his hands. Worick spread his legs wider as Nicolas pressed the head of his cock against him. It’s still a tight fit, a slow easy burn as each inch sunk deeper inside him.

Worick pulled Nicolas down for another kiss, and locked his ankle around his. He would have said something about the pace but each slow roll of the other man’s hips, and the drag of his length inside him seemed to punch the air from his lungs with each thrust.

“Fuck,” he swore and clenched as Nicolas thrust against that spot inside him.

He felt Nicolas smirk against his throat as he angled his hips to thrust against it slowly but repeatedly. He reached down to stroke himself off trying to time it with Nicolas’s thrusts. He could feel the warmth pulling in his gut as he neared his climax.

Worick came over his hand and their chests with a groan, Nicolas soon after thrusting in deep and making Worick shiver as he came inside him. He gave a few more small thrusts before he slowed down and pulled out falling onto the bed next to him.

‘Should do it raw more often,’ Worick signed.

‘Messy’ Nicolas signed back.

Worick laughed and lazily shoved Nicolas who caught his hand and tugged until he was half lying on his chest.

“You don’t even do the laundry, what would you care,” Worick looked down at him. “Oi,” he poked Nicolas’s cheek when the man’s eyes started to close. Nicolas swatted at his hand and looked at him. “Don’t just fall asleep. We should clean up...”

‘You have to get off me first,’ Nicolas signed.

One hand dropped to trace the tattoo on Worick’s back, then down the slope of his spine to the curve of his ass.

“In a bit,” Worick shifted a little to get more comfortable. “Never said we had to get cleaned up now.”

Nicolas snorted and when he closed his eyes this time Worick let him. After all, it wasn't all that often they got to enjoy quiet days like this.
