there’s poly, pan, asexual, agender, trans, nonbinary, standard rainbow, and a couple other flags that i don’t recognize hanging plus pins for all of those, and even “ally” pins, but no lesbian anything

Rant! About college!

So because tumblr is awesome and I won’t get in trouble for speaking my mind here. I will tell you all how fucking stupid Stenberg college is!!!!! I am currently talking the special education assistant course.. I strongly suggest no one else apply there!! Here are some of MY reasons why …..

1. They are unfair and don’t even care about whether you do good or not.

2. They punish you instead of teaching you.

3. I almost got dismissed because I accidentally uploaded the wrong copy of my assignment I even told them I have date stamps proving that I had my references but I just uploaded the wrong copy. They didn’t care one bit!you shouldn’t be punished for having computer problems!!

4. When you try to get a hold of a teacher they either don’t reply or take forever to reply that it’s too late.

5. When you ask a question they make me feel stupid for asking the question, but if you look at the replies they give other people such as the older smarter ladies they seem kind, it makes me feel like they are choosing favourites.

6. The way that they are marking is ridiculous, I went over the page limit because I forgot to double space and they took off 10 marks.

7. I am good at school getting high 80’s and I’m a good student but they make me feel like I am the worst student and I don’t do anything right

8. There is Absolutely no understanding when it comes to mistakes or problems, it’s very black and white.. You do it wrong that’s it, it’s wrong and they will not work with you to help you understand your mistakes or problems.. I think they just want your money.

9. They punish you so much for making grammar or spelling mistakes, like taking off a ridiculous amount of marks… but yet if you look at our lectures (online slide shows with them talking) there are SOOOO MANY grammar and spelling mistakes. You guys are suppose

10. The dates things were due on our outline were from November. (And it was April..) The learning “outcomes” on our course outline were not in order and would say You should know things that weren’t actually taught till the next week.

11. This new course that just started the teacher emailed us, and couldn’t even use full words for example she was like “FYI” like your a teacher!!!!! It should be mandatory that they have to use the right grammar and spelling and no short forms. They expect that from us so they should have the courtesy to do it for us..

12. The last course I was I thought Jillian but apparently Rachael was also our teacher, I had no clue because Rachel wasn’t apart of anything! So you pretty much never know who’s teaching you because they switch teachers every time you start a new course within the program… NO consistency

13. The teachers are not there to help you! Half of them work as a normal teacher during the day and do this on the side.. I tried getting no ahold of Jillian with my (my teacher so I thought) during my course which is three weeks long. I Didn’t get a reply till today!!! And the course ended yesterday! So it was way to late to even do anything about it…

I wish I would have researched this school better.. I went and looked at all the reviews and none of them are good. I haven’t found one good thing about this school and I’m sooo mad that I wasted my money on this school. I wish I would have went to a different school.. I have been keeping track and taking picture of all these things because if I get kicked out, then I’m going to stand up against them and try to do something so no one else has to go through all this..

That is my story… But there are other students that have even worse horror stories from my class!!

We started out with like 50 or so students and our class now is less then half of that.. Maybe like 15-20 people left..

DO NOT GO THERE!!!

DO NOT TAKE THIS WARNING LIGHTLY THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER TOO!!

Go to a normal well known school!

I drove to KCC to sign up for my last student loan (for this program, anyway) to find out that they lost the copy of my social security card I made for them when I changed my name. I made a huge fuss (it's not my fault they're incompetent as fuck) but they wouldn't let me turn in the loan request. On my way home the director of financial aid called me and apologized. I went to FedEx and faxed them the paperwork. Just one more semester and I won't ever have to be in Kankakee again.

George Mason university is the worst school.

George Mason is literally the worst school in Northern Virginia. I don't know why, but they seem incapable of helping me try to graduate. I have been going to them for the past 2 years with my issues with their curriculum, and every year they tell me I am going to have to go for an extra year. Now they are threatening to make me go for an extra 2 years, just because they cannot, and will not, help me. These advisors do very little advising, and a whole lot of negative reinforcement, that only shows they don't care about the students, and only care for their paychecks. I really hate how this school is full of itself. It's almost as bad as those for-profit, scam schools that show their commercials late at night. And before anyone tries to turn this on my own irresponsibility, I have been doing exceptionally well in my classes these past 4 semesters, after i had a major mess up for 2 semesters. I have been cleaning up my own mess. It is just the faculty that has been very unhelpful, and doesn't seem to want to work with me, as they seem to have with my cousin an friends for their school issues.
