5/5/26.
I read Goner Records email today and learned about Worst Worry (Colorado via London), a band I'd never heard about. According to Spacecase Records, "Worst Worry is the one-woman witch punk project from Lisa Lynn Wallace (aka Janie Too Bad of Black Time and Sexaphone)". She has also been a member of Virvon Varvon.
Of her own music Lisa asks, "What if Yoko never met John? What if Nico cast spells on 4-track? What if Jefferson Airplane were one devastated mother in a basement, full of sorrow & rage? What if all our worst worries came true all at once? And songs came out."
Of the music, Spacecase says the songs sound like Kleenex, Belinda Carlisle and Beat Happening. The lathe-cut 7" can't be found on Bandcamp, but it is still available on Spacecase Records. While you're on Bandcamp, listen to the full length S/T LP.
