So, my friend called me crying her eyes out because, her boyfriend is in jail until February for not paying child support and now he’s planning on taking off to Virginia when he gets out (because, apparently Virginia won’t expedite him) and they’re breaking up because, she can’t leave the state due to her own custody agreement. I am absolutely flabbergasted that she ever got with him in the first place but, how could she have not seen this coming? Especially when her child’s father is just as shitty… His ex wife, though my friend may think she’s cruel, is making sure their children is still taken care of. All she’s doing is holding her ex husband accountable for helping her raise their babies. I don’t understand how she’s the bad guy when he spends all his time and money on drugs. He made this bed and now he has to deal with it.
I didn’t say any of this to my friend… I told her that there’s plenty of great men out there and she should start working on herself (mostly her judgement in men) so, she can move on. She argued, of course and I told her I needed to go before I actually upset her.
Moral of the story? If he has a kid and all he does is lay around, do drugs and get into fights… He’s not good enough. Maybe I’m an asshole but, for fucks sake. A year of not helping with kids you made with your wife at the time and then to run away from your problems? Yeah. He is a shitty parent and that’s the last man I would want to be in a relationship with. Sorry, not sorry.
