Being a project-based employee under an agency, I knew from the very start that I will only render service for a limited time stated in the contract in the company of my deployment.
Time flies. Now, I only have two working days left to serve this company.
Going back on July 1st, my first day as an employee, it was the typical meet-and-greet, his and hellos, handshakes and self-intro. I was too reserved that time and I was so preoccupied of trying to remember the names of all the people I met that day. Come July 2nd that I actually started with my work. Being a project-based employee, I did not undergo a formal training and will work on the job expected of me from my supervisors or simply do the things stated on my job description. Familiarization of SOPs and practice on simulations bombarded my first few weeks at work. Admittedly, I had a rough start. I could still remember feeling disheartened especially when it was almost a month and I could still not deliver good analyses and reports. I felt the pressure to really be someone dependable and credible regarding the tasks I execute.
Little by little, I was able to cope up in my job. I began to really get to know people. I had a deeper sense of involvement and I know I am getting better requiring less supervision. Each day was a great learning experience and a rare opportunity to be surrounded by people adept in their fields. I learned to really just enjoy what I do and my work eventually become play.
Just yesterday, I had my advance greetings for Christmas and New Year and I had uttered my simple thanks to those people in our team who will have their vacation leaves already. They really contributed in their own little ways to somewhat prepare me for big things.
I know I won’t be leaving the company empty-handed for I have really grown and matured as a person, as someone dreaming to make it big someday in the corporate world.
I am being so melancholic at this very moment. Haha But this experience really is worth noting. The friendly atmosphere, the ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and still able to manage tough situations, the positive outlook each day--these characterize each day I had in six months. Who would not have wanted to spend a little longer in a company like this?
But life is as it is. One has to keep moving forward.
Anyways, this note is just intended to really thank everyone especially those people who made my stay at Mead Johnson Nutrition, Phils. worthwhile especially those in the awesome Planning Team: its manager, assistant manager and my co-planners. I had a blast in my stay and I will surely keep in mind the lessons I learned from these people. It was destiny that led me to the doors of MJN and my sincerest thanks for those people who had blessed me just being who they really are.
As I move to a new job in a new company come new year, rest assured that I will continue to grow and mature more. Wew. That STEP UP business motto will always be instilled in my heart and in my head.
Me lo pasé muy bien. Esta es una experiencia de toda una vida.
