so i was ranting to dad about shadow and bone’s half-assed russian stuff earlier and learned that apparently none of the saints are actually called ‘sankt’ or ‘sankta’. that’s only how st. petersburg is pronounced. the actual saints are called ‘svetoi ____’ or ‘svetaya ____’ (literal translation- adj. holy)
