Yes, I would gladly exchange every Matthew & Cordelia interaction + the last few chapters with more Alastair & Cordelia scenes.
Yes, I would rather have one of the best sibling duo in TSC to get plenty of interactions together, instead of boring plot devices in the last few chapters that served to elevate some love triangle.
Yes, I want more page time to be dedicated to both of them together, even if it's irrelevant to the plot. It's much more worth it to read this than what we actually got if you asked me.
Would the book become 100x more interesting if we replaced those scenes with Alastair & Cordelia just being siblings? Yes, it would. Would the book become better overall? Also yes.
And yes, I do not regret saying this.
