anw this memory fucks w me a lot, bc zelda is rly tired i’d say. and i notice how zelda barely looks at the statue? she continues to look down or away almost as if shes too ashamed to even look up at it. like she’s afraid of what would happen. the important part of when she does look up is when she talks about her father. she speaks the loudest abt him, and he clearly brings out her insecurities. she's gone to the springs practically everyday of her life so i'm positive that messed her up mentally which makes her feel the way that she does.he’s the one who’s shook her the most. its like, i think she misunderstands how other people feel. like, i think she takes rhoam’s scoldings to heart, and i personally think rhoam is afraid. afraid of what damage ganon might do. of what ganon would do to his daughter. while king rhoam wanted to live i don’t think he cared as much for his life than he cared for zelda’s life. and while everyone is afraid and disappointed that zelda cannot control her power, i think she sees it more as anger and embarrassment and takes it out on herself rather than taking time. even tho ganon’s arrival hangs heavy over hyrule, zelda really pressured herself to be better and to push herself to fit the role of the past zeldas. zelda also does this thing where she seems to look for others for help? like how she asks what’s wrong with herself,, she seeks comfort in other people, and not in herself. she feels anger with herself as well as sadness. but like urbosa said in that one cutscene, ‘this is how things had to happen’. like ive said before in past loz games, while the past zeldas learn to control their powers, some are more mature and skilled. not every zelda is an exact copy. as well as link. not every link is the same one. sure they might have the same duty but they probably dont have the same skill. in all games we’ve seen both link and zelda have their insecurities (i mean. idk abt link too much but.), and i think zelda fails to understand that this might’ve not worked any other way.
