Stelwagen is an urban photographer, fascinated by the edges of the city on the border of nature and culture. He mostly works in large asian cities, like Bangkok, Hong Kong en Chongqing in China. Chongqing is a rapidly growing city with over 30 million inhabitants. Chongqing lies on one of the biggest rivers of the world; the Yangtze. End of the winter parts of the river dry up and become small islands where people recreate, like picknicking and fishing. As if a new biotoop rises, in such contrast with the city above. /words
