Finally added some of the ‘Schemata Series’ cushion cover designs to my online shop. This one is called ‘The Rhombus Theorem’. It is a minimal but bold cushion cover, which will add a modern touch to any room. Its pattern suggest symbols and diagrams of abstract concepts. Despite its simplicity it can be seen as a linear representation of complex theories. These theories however are characterised -as the geometric shapes suggest- by notions existing in balance. All Schemata series cushion covers are woven with black and red yarn against a contrasting natural coloured cotton background. These colours are also used in early traditional textiles. Weaving the pattern involves a lot of counting warp threads and placing yarns by hand!
