23, 27, & 72 for the fanfic asks! 💜

23. Is writing the beginning, middle, or end of the story easiest? Hardest?
I answer this one here!
27. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?
Dialogue my belovedddd. A lot of early-concept scenes come to me a bit like a script, where I'm just firing off back-and-forth banter and then filling in around it later. I feel good about my sense of characterization through speech and body language—what's the person saying, what are they implying, what are they not saying, that sort of thing. I care a lot about not only the message, but how it's delivered; I could have each of the Vane sisters say the same thing functionally, but it'd come out differently each time.
72. What's your favorite writing compliment you've gotten?
There have been some extremely kind ones over the years (!!). Someone compared Champagne Weather to Black Silk by Judith Ivory, which was immense. Someone else told me how the combination of kinks in Baby^3 made them feel uniquely seen—and that's something I hear now and again, about multiple fics, that always hits me in a meaningful way. I started posting feedist fic because I thought there may be a handful of people out there wanting to see the particular flavor of story I felt I'd never seen before, and there are...nearly a thousand of you. Making many somethings that help other people feel understood will always be the most special thing I've done with myself.
