why can't I remember voices

why can't i remember your voice your words imagined soft in my head hands creeping over, whispering sweet nothings into my make believe bed why can't I remember your sound to use to make you sing me a tune and pretend like we're together and happy both in our body's grooves why can't I remember your words has it been too long since I've heard you speak? the chatter of others has filled the silence when you didn't do anything for weeks but i can remember her voice an newborn enemy, and like myself we were devoted to your existence (perhaps i a bit more than she) why can I remember her voice in contrast, though, i can understand for she so real and cruel to me and you barely more than a fictional man
