Seeing your son randomly become frightened to be around another family member he once trusted. Watching your daughter become more and more frightened even though she’s medicated and should be getting better. Watching your son’s grades drop gradually as he gets older, sitting on the couch watching tv wondering what he’s been doing all night. Seeing so many people in your neighborhood die in one year, and now the search party just told you there’s no trace of your son. Noticing how your kids are always tired, less responsive, anxious, never at home, and chalking it up to normal teenager things because worrying it’s something else is too much. Not knowing how to protect your everything. Not knowing what’s happening and not being able to ask.
