ASTM A403 WP304L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel butt-weld pipe fitting grade manufactured under ASTM A403 / ASME SA403 specifications. Made from Stainless Steel 304L (UNS S30403), this grade offers excellent corrosion resistance, superior weldability, and improved resistance to intergranular corrosion due to its low carbon content (maximum 0.03%).
ASTM A403 WP304L fittings are widely used in industries requiring high hygiene standards and corrosion resistance. The reduced carbon content allows welding without the risk of carbide precipitation, eliminating the need for post-weld heat treatment in most applications.
