Teen Review: For Real by Alison Cherry
Telling the tale of two different sisters and their adventure of revenge creates the perfect plotline for a book. In Cherry's book, she perfectly combines humor, relationships, sisterhood and growing up as your own individual. This is definitely one of my all time favorite books! - 5 stars.
Red by Alison Cherry
A different type of book, but I really did enjoy the concept of a town with very prominent privileges to the redheaded citizens of Scarletteville. A book of self-discovery and secrets for the main character as well as an insight to an underground hair salon and a biased beauty pageant. It was a fun read for me! - 4 stars. Reviewed by S.H.
Teen Review: An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
The best books seem to be those that bring out the true emotions whether it be sadness or tears of joy. This book truly evoked many feelings out of me. Throughout the book I felt what the characters were going through and could sympathize with their pain. All of the characters seemed to build throughout the story as well, no one could be trusted or suspected and would reveal a new face of theirs. Constantly I had to pause and just think about what had happened. The number of plot twists and enthralling scenes has left me tired from being on the edge of my seat the entire time. Truly, this book is amazing. Actually even amazing is an understatement. - 5 stars. Reviewed by H.S.
