Hey, cris.
I just wanna ask about WPTS, when do you think you can update it? No pressure, tho 🙏 Take as much time as you need.
PS. You're really one of the most talented writers in our fandom, and also one of my favorites!
hi there, thanks for the interest in my fic! ♡
i'm hoping to update it in the following weeks, but i can’t promise anything. i'd like to finish writing the entire arc before i start posting again, but with how chaotic everything's been lately, i really can’t give you a date.
thank you for your patience, and for the kind words :)
Oh my god, I just finished reading "Who Painted the Sky" in one sitting, and I want to say, WHAT A MASTERPIECE! I love it. All your updates are meticulous, and the chapters are well-crafted. I'll also say that your writing and knowledge of romcoms remind me of the books by the wonderful Ali Hazelwood. You're going to become a promising romance writer.
omg hi there!!
Thank you so much for letting me know, your words mean a lot!! I'm glad you’re enjoying wpts, and I hope you'll like how this story develops further, too!
And oh, thank you, i fear that’s too big of a compliment for me, thank you T^T♡
Hey Cris! Clouds here! In WPTS (or just general modern AU) who's (not necessarily aruani) more likely to become addicted to silly mobile games? And how does the other react? (Jealous, doesn't care, gets in on it, etc)?
Hey Clouds!! Thank you for the ask! ♡
In a general modern AU, i think it would be Annie who picks them up. I think she finds them oddly relaxing and calming, they help destress and soothe her nerves. I imagine her, maybe in a College AU, curled up on Armin’s bed and playing candy crush on her phone while he works on assignments. He's intrigued at first, he doesn’t understand the appeal– until she makes him play. Then he becomes addicted
In WPTS though, I think it would be Pieck who picks them up. She’s the oldest of the pack, and is nit having that great of a time as you might have noticed, so mobile games it is– they take her mind off of things. Connie, being the jokester he is, can’t help but crack a joke or two when he finds her on the couch in the common room one morning, playing suddoku on her phone. Sasha soon joins in his teasing. I think Jean would find it oddly hot of her, while Hitch would find it curious, a bit weird if anything. Reiner would try to play as well but give up very soon, because why does he have to know so many words. Armin would be beyonx excited to know there’s someone else playing in the house. And Annie wouldn’t really see the appeal
About wpts
What's your fav chapter? And what's your least favorite chapter? And why? 👀👀
hi bestieee, thank you for the ask!!♡
my most favourite chapter from all of wpts is ch22. It's the thing that started this whole monstrosity of a fic and it was very fun to write.
HOWEVER, from the ones i've already posted, my fav is the chapter with the ikea fight, which i think i absolutely nailed. it was so fun to write, and i think it adds so much to both armin and annie's relationship as well as the overall dynamics between the volunteers. it helps develop aruani's relationship, gives us a glance into reihitch's relatiinship (which will play a much bigger role later on), foreshadows later events... so much happens and it was so fun ti come up with all of that
my least favourite one must be chapter 6, simply because i wanted to do so mych with it and bit off more than i could chew. it could have been so much more than it is. one day when i'm all done with the fic, i'll go back and edit it and make sure i actually like it this time
Just seen the train post I’m probably late but anyway-
I’ve started reading wpts but I’m so nervous about the open ending tag, fics that end like that always tear my heart in pieces😭😭😭 is it like a sad open ending or a hopeful open ending?
Hiii!!
I'm so happy to hear you're reading wpts, you’re in for SUCH a fun ride! I hope you enjoy it ♡
About the open ending tag, I can't say much without spoiling the story unfortunately. I'd like the reader to experience all the uncertainty and what ifs along with the characters. All I can say right now is that, by the end of the story, all conflicts are resolved one way or another, and the characters, however changed, are at peace and happier.
Thank you again for reading! I hope you enjoy the story, and I'd love to see you around!!♡
For the moodboard ask: WPTS (or if that's already been asked), Nothing Sweeter Than You!
Thank you for the ask!! here's for wpts:
For the Director's Cut:
Who painted the Sky- TELL ME ALL ABOUT THE FALLING IN LOVE MONTAGE SCENE,
AND,
In Chapter 9, when they hold hands and talk about how nice it feels T////T
Hi Moon, thank you for asking!! i'll try to tell you as much as i can about those without spoiling too much sdfgh
OK SO
the falling in love montage scene was what started the whole fic– i was really into romcoms at the time (summer 2021) and i was obsessing over aruani, so i thought oh they need a romcom of their own, how could i make that happen? and this popped into my head. that scene was one of the first ones i ever wrote when planning wpts, along with chapter 17 (all of it but we can’t talk about it right now lmao) and the conversation that led to them holding hands.
they're both quite trivial moments: the falling-in-love montage scene is the one that sets everything in motion, the whole story just builds itself around it, everything from that point on (up until a certain point much later into the story) will trace back to this one scene. it's the start of all nice things and most of the conflicts, both internal and external. if i were to pick, i'd say it's the first most important scene in the whole story. (yet i'm not quite happy with how i wrote it and might go back and edit it at some point)
then, the holding hands in chapter 9... well, chapter 9 is filled with easter eggs. it gives you all the information you need to piece together the rest of the story without actually spelling it out to you, especially the conversation that led to them holding hands. that’s when they start understanding each other a bit more and realize that they want to be there for one another.
