Writing Prompt Wednesday

GOOD MORNING, NEW YORK! 

Wednesday is here and you know what that means-- HUMP DAAAAY. As we all help each other get over this hump, I’ve got a writing prompt for you. Today’s writing prompt is influenced by the song: Sooner or Later by Mat Kearney. More specifically, the part we can all relate to is: 

“ We're all waiting on dream that’s hard to own.                                                   Sooner or later,            trying to feel the high                             without the low, you know.”

Write about what your character feels about these exact lyrics. What is their biggest dream as of right now? What do they hope to get out of this new life in New York? What are their hopes and their expectations? What is it to experience the lowest of the low? To prevent it from happening again, what would or should they do?

Be creative and most of all, have fun!

Tell us a story

OK, It was my first time in America, and I wasn’t quite fluent in English yet, so I was having a hard time understanding everything that was going on. My father (or, adoptive father) had left me alone in a coffee shop. 

So I was sitting there, minding my own business, when this dude comes out of no where and this guy comes out of no where and starts talking to me. So I kicked him in the knee.

Turns out that was my father’s best friend, Snoopy.
