Days 7-9 of icryink’s Cringetober!
The prompts were “anime”, “-core aesthetic”, and “indie game” (in order).
More information and image descriptions* are below the break!
(*Be warned that they’re long! I’ve tried my best, but I’m not a professional.)
[Image 1 description: A traditional headshot drawing, done with a fine-tip pen and colored pencils. The character depicted is a blue-black wolf with a spiked grey metallic collar. Their eyes are blue, and they seem to be alert. /End description]
[Image 2 description: A traditional full body drawing, done with a fine-tip pen and colored pencils. The character depicted is a vaguely canine-like quadruped, which has rainbow-colored fur in a yellow-orange-red-purple-blue-green pattern. Their head is just a lower jawbone, floating above their neck, which comes to a flat stop below and appears to be filled with darkness. The character's ribcage is also exposed, and both the jaw and ribs have flowers sprouting from and/or wrapped around them. The flowers have green stems, white petals, and yellow centers, with black pupils in the middle. From the character's tail comes a cloud or fog, which is grey, white, pink, and blue. /End description]
[Image 3 description: A traditional drawing styled like a playing card. The card is broken into three sections: the title, image, and stats. The title reads "ICEFANG100" along the top, with the stats listed as two "2's"; one on the left, and one on the right. Below the left "2" is a clawed paw symbol, while above the right "2" is a heart symbol. In the center of the card is a bust of an anthropomorphic mountain lion, with a pair of wings raised along the sides of the section. /End description]
The anime prompt had an obvious answer to me, since the first I ever watched (and has stuck in my mind since) was Wolf's Rain. As such, the drawing I did for the day depicts one of the characters - Blue!
"-Core aesthetic" was a much harder one to pin down, but I eventually decided to give designing a "dreamcore"-based character a go. Turned out okay, I think, if a bit macabre. The flowers are meant to have eyes as their centers, but I'm not sure that would come across without a little animation, so... [shrug]. Well, actually, the design would probably work better digitally, altogether.
Although I love many indie games, Inscryption is one of my favorite games in general, ever, and thus was an easily-chosen muse for the prompt. I've drawn Blue (other Blue, my fursona) as/in an Inscryption card! Pretty happy with it overall, if not the colors. Not stylized enough, either, but [shug].
