So many questions! I got everyone - and I mean everyone, since we had some special visitors today! - to record their answers for this! (I even got Nixie to join in!) Hope you enjoy! -Water Specialist Xavier
29. What is your favorite Pokémon type?
Xavier: Mine is very obviously water, haha! I can't help it, I'm always been in love with the ocean and lakes and all the life the water holds. My entire team is water typed, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Professor Bald: Hoho, I bet you can't guess mine! It's actually not water, but fairy! Even though I live for the water pokemon in my care, it's always been my dream to have a fairy type on my team!
Professor Tupelo: I don't really have a favourite typing, but I adore fossil pokemon. If I could have a team of ancient pokemon, I would be thrilled! Since I can't... hmm, I suppose it's water, if only because I seem to have surrounded myself with it.
Nixie: Mine's obvious, too - I'm a water girl! I also have a team of water types that I love so much!
Flint: As odd as it is, I really like fire types! They're powerful and can be dangerous, but I really respect them as pokemon! Ace, my Talonflame, has taught me so much about fire types and I hope to learn more about them one day! ...hopefully somewhere safe, though, and not in the middle of the park where a fire could get out of hand.
Isa: Water, duh. I'm almost always at sea, so water types just make sense. Though... I suppose I do have a penchant for flying, as well.
22. Does your Pokémon have a favorite item?
Xavier: Bunny, my swampgatr (Swampert/Feraligatr hybrid) LOVES her soothe bell. Like, I know it's whole thing is being soothing, but she is obsessed with it; she WILL throw a tantrum if we forget it somewhere. It's like her security blanket. Whatever works, though, right?
Professor Bald: My Corsola, Allopora, has a shiny deep-sea scale that she loves showing off to people. I know it won't do anything for her, but she gets so excited by it - our little tank of coral is her display room, and she'll move it every single day without fail. It's adorable!
Professor Tupelo: It's not an item, really, but Branch, my gastrodon, likes branches. Go figure. (Actually, its really driftwood pieces, but Branch was a better name, so I went with that.) He'll often bring them to his mate, and they've got a little wooden nest together at home.
Nixie: Totodile has an odd habit of finding... rocks. Not anything special, like evolution stones or the like, just... basic rocks. They love them, though, and always want to show them off... pretty sure they've got them stockpiled somewhere in the aquarium.
Flint: So Yogi, my ursaring - don't come at me for the name, okay? It's a GOOD NAME for an ursaring! - stole my ranger bandana from when I graduated. (It's a thing my specific group did at the end of our training) Yogi wears it around his neck like a trophy and kinda acts like a ranger himself when he's got it on; it's like it warns other pokemon that he's in charge.
Isa: Look, so what if I stole- er, bought a few tynamo plushies for Thrash when they were first brought to me? Tynamo are schooling fish, they need to feel safe! And so what if, even as an Eelektross, Thrash still hoards those plushies like their own personal treasure? It's sentimental.
7. If you were a gym leader, what kind of gym would you run? If you are already a gym leader or gym trainer, what’s your gym like?
Xavier: Definitely a water gym! I'd probably have fish as a theme and use a whole school of something as my team! It could even have educational information about the types of fish pokemon!
Professor Bald: I think it would be fun to have a fairy gym, with lots of cutesy puzzles. Maybe even a pokemon contest portion? Wouldn't that be fun!
Professor Tupelo: Having a gym based on fossil pokemon would be cool I guess. Though I much prefer studying fossils to battling.
Nixie: I... don't... know?? That's a LOT of responsibility! I don't think I could ever be a gym leader! ;A;
Flint: Having a park themed gym would be really sweet! It would probably end up being grass/normal typed... It would have a maze in it and I could teach trainers about which wild foods are safe for them and their pokemon to consume- oh, I guess that last part isn't very gym like, is it?
Isa: Water/Electric type gym. Just me and Thrash against the strongest trainers. None of this pre-battle bs, just the main event!
34. Do you have a Pokémon that refuses to evolve?
Xavier: Actually, yes! My little wimpod, David, doesn't want to evolve. Originally he was scared of it, but I think now he just likes being considered a baby and getting all the attention...
Professor Bald: Nope! All my pokemon are in their final forms.
Professor Tupelo: My clauncher Acean doesn't seem to care about evolving, so I'm not pushing him. Doesn't matter to me, anyways - we don't battle or anything. And his smaller form makes it easier to navigate the aquarium.
Flint: I wouldn't say Scrap - that's my trapinch - refuses to evolve, she's just not there yet. Still enjoying being a small little critter experiencing new things.
Isa: Polly (Archen) doesn't want to evolve and frankly, I don't want her to, either! She's perfect the way she is! (Xavier's note: They just really like that Polly can fit on Isa's shoulder...)
[OOC: Phew! That was a lot! Hope you enjoyed! Thanks to @fleur-de-leap for trusting me to write Nix! Love you bae <3]
