y’know the thing where everyone thought SS was the same person as EF before the update? Yeah, that. Kinda.
Basically the binding ritual went very very wrong (we can’t decide between if EF interfered or if the way it kinda took both their power to do it messed up and smacked them together). And if they separate they will fuckin die horribly.
Beasts are redeemed and Salt hates it so so so much. Mans is all rage and grief and utter hatred for canon-ish reasons, and will literally stop at nothing to kill them. The bloodlust kicked up to thirty.
And Elder Faerie does go along with it for basically as long as it takes the Beasts to prove to them that ‘hey, we’re not evil anymore, you can stop with the attempted murder’. Then yeah, maybe he gets attached, just a little..
Salt is not happy about it. Again, he wants them dead. He doesn’t care that they’re ‘atoning’ when everything they did is enough to outweigh it tenfold. But he can’t actually do anything about it because that would probably entail either forcibly taking over EF’s body to do so, or leaving it to go kill them himself (both of which he absolutely doesn’t want to do because one, he does, in fact, actually like EF, and two, that would kill them both)
That’s kinda all we’ve thought about so far other than a few maulings.
