omg ok yay <3 well the honest answer is since ive got home from university ive been listening to like nothing since my routine changed and i have less time :( theres so many albums i want to listen to that i haven’t got around to yettt

ok but i’ve been getting a lot of my recent music taste from a particular radio show i’ve been listening to, hosted by my music professor from second yr #i love campus radio

i’ve been really obsessed with the album magnolia electric co. by songs: ohia for the past year i think ive played almost was good enough about 900 times and im trying to work it out on the guitar. (check out Just Be Simple you may recognize some lines..)

more albums i’ve been into recently: Getting Killed and 3D Country by Geese, American Water by Silver Jews, Brighten the Corners and Crooked Rain Crooken Rain by Pavement, The Dirty South by Drive-By Truckers, Burnover and I Looked Out by Greg Freeman, also Kaputt by Destroyer

i’ve also been trying to get more canadian with it with albums like Bite Down by Ribbon Skirt, 1783 by Aquakulture, and Hometowns by the Rural Alberta Advantage

and in general ive been crazy about the smiths and the smashing pumpkins recently but thats mainly due to my interest in nirvana the band the show and matt johnson’s work

is Taash's letter from Shathann the first time periods are mentioned in the series? I'm always interested in menstruation as depicted in fantasy settings and I can't think of another time where it's mentioned in Thedas

Okay! So this one had me digging because I swore there was another mention but as of right now, it seems like this is the only canonical mention. After much searching and things being rather fruitless, I have found talk about herbal methods to abort pregnancy (which might be what I am confusing due to the language used), but other than that it isn't spoken of.

okay so feel free to ignore if you want! but, when I'm making a new Rook, I always try to think of why they're breaking all these pots and boxes in universe. sometimes the reason as simple as curiosity to as specific as a deep hatred of pottery developed while studying in the Grand Necropolis. are Ghilasara & Jackdaw smashing all the boxes and crates they run into, and if so why?

honestly, I never really thought about it from the character standpoint skdjfhsjkd I just love smashing the jars and boxes because it Feels Good. idk if other people remember it from the AMA, but the devs straight up said there are so many jars and boxes because everyone liked breaking them so much. it's like we are fulfilling their purpose!!

*but* from the character standpoint, I think Jackdaw would not be breaking anything. because breaking stuff is making a mess, and she hates messes! she could make occasional exceptions for antaam and crow-owned boxes though, on account of being a little very big hater.

now, Ghilasara would be breaking a lot of things purposefully, because she's very vindictive. she'd leave the allied factions' stuff alone, but no venatori, elven god, antaam, or Orlesian jar/box is safe from her. I do see her going out of the way to make sure all enemy boxes have been obliterated.

also, your concept of trauma-induced box breaking is incredible. reminds me of my attitude towards classical music (I HATE it after studying at a musical school)
