"Gearing up" for a stray animal rescue. Someone in town reported a white rat living near some dumpsters between a grocery store and sandwich shop. I figured the rat would be more likely to check out us and our traps if we smelled like other rats. It may have worked because we caught him! We'll get some pics and videos up when we get home and check him out. Right now we've reset the traps in case there could be more than one rat. Domesticated rats are not equipped to survive in the wild without human care. They have been bred specifically to trust everyone, avoid biting, explore 24/7, and get up in human business.
