it's a little rude that someone expressing an opinion different from yours is labelled as invalid. their opinion is just as valid as yours, even if you disagree with them. =/ you talk smart but you should be a little nicer.

Okay, see, this is why I can’t ever use the snarky gifs. Because then people say I’m being mean. No sass allowed from my corner of the universe. All these gifs just sit in my Dropbox, lonely and unused....

But no, I’m sorry, I don’t think “it would be less painful if Robin died” is a valid argument you can make when you’re talking about Regina Mills. I don’t think you can argue that if he died she’d just be able to move on eventually, and that would be easier for her. Regina lost Daniel, and it absolutely gutted her. She didn’t move on for decades. Regina lost Cora, and nearly magicked her own kid. Regina thought she lost Henry forever, and immediately attempted suicide. Regina does not do well with loss. Canon has shown us that. When it comes to people she loves, Regina feels loss deeply. So I don’t think “Robin being gone forever would be less painful than having to find a way to live with the pain of their current situation” is a valid argument.

It disregards canon entirely on several fronts. Not only on the “Regina doesn’t deal terribly well with loss” front, but on the fact that it’s based on this being “psychological torture” for Regina, when frankly we’ve not seen any evidence that it is. We’ve seen that one scene of her with Snow, where she said she wasn’t sure she was ready to go meet that baby. We’ve seen her in the bar with Robin, reeling from the fresh news that her sister is carrying his child. We did see her make a desperate attempt to get rid of Zelena to mitigate the pain of all this. But other than that, we have not seen her constantly in pain. We’ve seen Regina be mostly level-headed and accepting of the situation, dealing with it as it is. We’ve seen her actively involved with it by her own choice. 

If Regina thought this situation was unlivable psychological torture, she wouldn’t have agreed to stay in it. Let Regina own her own decision for her life.

And yeah, I do get to say an argument is invalid when it’s cornerstones are directly contradicted by canon. Opinions are open for debate, but facts are not. And you cannot argue it would be easier for her if Robin was dead when you’ve had her in the midst of this situation fight tooth and nail to save Robin’s life not once but twice. You don’t get to say “this argument is just as valid as yours” when this argument disregards canon almost entirely.
