A program unique to Rockland County, the annual conference brings together students from public and private high schools throughout the county for a day of teaching one another and learning about the county in which we live. Addressing the students, teachers and social studies advisers at this year's gathering were County Executive Edwin Day; Legislative Chair Toney Earl; Legislator Alden Wolfe; and County Clerk Paul Piperato. Johanna Yaun, Orange County Historian, delivered the keynote address.
Crossroads of Rockland History, a program of the Historical Society of Rockland County, streams live on the third Monday of each month, 9:30 am, at www.WRCR.com. Join host Clare Sheridan as we explore, celebrate, and learn about our local history, with different topics and guest speakers every month.
